OnePlus 12 Leak Confirms Periscope Zoom Camera

The OnePlus 12 is expected to be released in December, and rumors about its specs have been circulating for months. Now, we have some new details about the phone’s cameras, and they hint at a major upgrade.
OnePlus 12 Camera Details: A Major Upgrade?
According to a leak from Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 12 will have a triple-camera setup on the back. The main sensor will be a 50-megapixel snapper with optical image stabilization (OIS) support and a 1/1.4-inch Sony IMX9xx sensor. This is a significant upgrade over the 48-megapixel main sensor on the OnePlus 11.
The other two cameras in the rear setup will be a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel periscope lens. The periscope lens is the most interesting part of the camera system, as it will offer 3x optical zoom. This is a big improvement over the 2x optical zoom on the OnePlus 11.
In addition to the hardware upgrades, the OnePlus 12 will also have Hasselblad branding on its cameras. This means that the phone will use Hasselblad’s color science to improve the photo and video quality.

Other rumored specs for the OnePlus 12 include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with improved LTPO technology, a 5,400mAh battery with 100W fast charging, and Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.
