Chrome for iOS Can Now Show Translations, Maps, and More

Google has announced many new features for Chrome for iOS, including the ability to translate webpages, view Maps addresses, and create Calendar events without leaving the browser.
The new translation feature uses Google Translate to automatically detect the language of a webpage and offer to translate it into your preferred language. You can also highlight a specific passage of text and long-press to get a translation right in the Chrome browser.
The Maps integration allows you to view the location of a business or other point of interest directly in Chrome without opening the Google Maps app. You can also create Google Calendar events directly in Chrome by pressing and holding on a date.
These new features are part of Google’s ongoing effort to make Chrome for iOS more powerful and user-friendly. They also indicate Google’s increasing focus on the iOS platform as the company seeks to compete with Apple’s Safari browser.

These new features are available now in the latest version of Chrome for iOS. To update your app, open the App Store and tap the “Updates” tab. If Chrome is listed, tap the “Update” button to install the latest version.
